Bathroom and toilet waterproofing is the most common failure point in Singapore homes. The wet area is used daily, the membrane sits hidden beneath tiles and screed, and by the time you can see a problem, water has usually been travelling through the slab for months.
You likely need bathroom waterproofing if you notice:
If a neighbour’s unit is affected, act quickly. A bathroom leak that reaches the unit below becomes a shared conversation with HDB or your MCST, and documented early action protects you.
Non-Hacking Waterproofing
A liquid-applied waterproofing system installed over your existing tiles, with no demolition and no need to move out. Suitable where tiles and grout are sound and the leak comes from a single identifiable source. Typically completed in one to two days.
PU Injection Grouting
Polyurethane resin injected under pressure into cracks and joints in the concrete. The resin reacts with the water, expands, and seals the leak path. Ideal for localised slab cracks and pipe penetration leaks without hacking.
Full Hacking & Membrane Reinstatement
Where the membrane has failed across the whole floor, or the screed is saturated, we hack out, dry the slab, apply a new waterproofing membrane with full detailing, re-screed and re-tile. The durable answer when a surface fix won’t hold.
Floor Trap & Pipe Penetration Treatment
Every pipe passing through the slab is a potential leak path, and penetrations are where waterproofing most often fails. We treat each one with proper detailing rather than a surface seal.
Epoxy Tile Grouting
Where grout failure is contributing to water ingress, we install epoxy grout — harder, non-porous and far more resistant than cement grout. See our epoxy tile grout service →
Ceiling Reinstatement Below
Where the leak has damaged the unit below, we repair and make good the affected ceiling once the source is sealed.
1. Free On-Site Assessment
We attend and establish where water is actually entering — not from a photo. Water travels, so the point where a stain appears is often not where the breach is.
2. Written Diagnosis & Itemised Quotation
You receive a clear scope showing preparation, treatment, testing and reinstatement as separate items, with exclusions stated. No lump-sum guesswork.
3. Surface Preparation
Cleaning, drying, crack repair and priming. This stage is invisible once finished but determines whether the system bonds and lasts.
4. Membrane Application & Detailing
The specified system applied at the correct thickness, with proper treatment at upturns, corners, floor traps and every pipe penetration — the points where waterproofing actually fails.
5. 24-Hour Ponding Test
We flood the area and hold it for 24 hours, in line with Singapore Standard SS 637:2018, before any tiling goes back. This is the only step that verifies the work succeeded, and we document it.
6. Reinstatement & Handover
Screed, tiling and making good, plus your written warranty and project documentation.
Tell us what you’re seeing and we’ll come and find the source — then quote you properly, with the scope itemised and the method explained.
